…Commissions multiple infrastructural projets at Guards Brigade HQ

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, has stressed the importance of maintaining a good maintenance culture in the Nigerian Army.

General Lagbaja gave the charge while commissioning numerous developmental projects in the Guards Brigade, Aguyi Ironsi Cantonment, Asokoro, Abuja.

During the commissioning ceremony, General Lagbaja commended the Commander, Guards Brigade, Brigadier General Adebisi Olusegun Onasanya, for completing projects that enhance troops’ fighting efficiency and welfare. He noted that these projects align with his Command Philosophy of transforming the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, equipped, and highly motivated force.

The COAS emphasized that maintaining these facilities is crucial to ensuring they fulfill their purpose and stand the test of time. He urged Brigade officers and troops to prioritize maintenance to optimize performance when needed.

The commissioned projects include a remodeled Quarter Guard, an ultra-modern lecture auditorium, accommodation for Quick Response Force personnel, and office accommodations. The ceremony was attended by principal staff officers, commanding officers, and troops under the Guards Brigade.
